On behalf of the employer, The WorkPlace is recruiting for an Administrator/ Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk

The office/shop can be an extremely busy place during the months May through to December. The position would demand strong customer service skills as you would be dealing with customers daily, both in person and on the phone.
Working in a team environment, where we all help each other; the ability to multitask, and switch priorities where required is essential. Attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy is required when working with figures and customer accounts.

WAGE: $20/hr, with room for growth upon evaluation

PRIMARY DUTIES WOULD INCLUDE BUT NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:
• Work with existing staff to ensure the reception desk in the shop is always attended, and customers needs are addressed.
• Answering the phone, taking messages, fielding calls.
• Photocopying and scanning of documentation.
• Provide administrative support to other team members as directed and provide cover during any absences.
• Maintaining accurate information in our databases, these include excel spreadsheets, Sage accounting and HindSite.
• Assists with accounting as directed by the accountant, duties would include:
o Accounts Payable – Checking and marrying of packing slips to invoices. Following up on any discrepancies through to resolution. Entry of all invoices onto Sage, approval, and payment. Run reports to ensure all invoices cleared monthly.
o Accounts Receivable – Processing of work orders through to Sage Invoicing, ensuring a high level of accuracy. Mailing of all invoices. Appling payments to customer and accounts, and its reconciliation. Assist with Debt collection.
o Daily Cash – Prepare, balance, and input the daily cash onto Sage.

SKILLS AND/OR EXPERINCE REQUIRED:
• Previous experience in an office/accounting role, with a good knowledge of accounting principles, and accounts database.
• Good working knowledge of Excel, and Microsoft Office packages
• Ability to calculate and manage figures, with a high level of accuracy.
• Great attention to detail
• Strong Customer service skills
• A solid team player
