Mac-Weld Machining Ltd. is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to take on the task of sharing our vision locally and globally.
The Maintenance Millwright is responsible for assembling, installing and adjusting equipment, machinery.
Skills & Responsibilities
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
- Install machinery and mechanical equipment, assembling prior to installation
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
- Conduct basic maintenance repairs of facility including plumbing and some electrical work
- Troubleshoot machine problems as they arise
- Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
- Other assigned duties
Qualifications
- 2+ years of maintenance experience
- Professional Trades Certification or Red Seal is required
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts
- Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches
- Experience with tools, precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices
- Experience performing routine maintenance
- Strong math skills

This is a full-time permanent position in our Sarnia facility.
Salary: $24.64-$30.90/hr
Signing Bonus: New regular employees will receive a signing bonus of $500 after successfully completing their three month probationary period, and $1000 after one year of continuous employment. The employee must be on active payroll for the entire timeframe to qualify. Contract positions do not qualify for the signing bonus.
