Job Description

On behalf of the Employer, that has recently expanded by opening its second branch in Sarnia we are for seeking an experienced salesperson to join the team. This role offers significant potential for career growth, with the opportunity to advance into a managerial position.

Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours/week), Permanent

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch break)

Location: In-person with some flexibility

50% travel in Canada and the USA

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement: Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Product Knowledge: Understanding and explaining products or services to customers.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Lead Generation: Identifying and pursuing potential customers.
  • Negotiation: Closing deals and handling pricing discussions.
  • Customer Support: Addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Business Development: Identifying new market opportunities and expanding the client base.
  • Exhibitions and Fairs: Representing the company at trade shows and industry events in Canada and internationally.
  • Reporting: Maintaining records of sales activities and performance.

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience in engineering, business, commerce, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is an asset.
  • 4-5 years of experience in a similar role.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of polyethylene products is an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of local agriculture, construction, and marine industries.
  • Strong communication and networking skills.
  • Innovative, reliable, adaptable, and friendly.
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a driver’s license is required.

Salary Range: $22 + commission based on sales.

Benefits are available after probation.
